Brooks People are Selectively Hired and Well
Trained
High technology has dramatically
changed the tools we use to accomplish our tasks. However, having the best
tools (and we do) is not enough. We still need good people to use those tools.
However, having good people (and we do) is not enough. We provide the best
tools for good people and we train them to realize their potential and that is
the key to Brooks success. When we talk tools we aren't referring to hardware
only. We provide our people with a bag of motivational tools through seminars,
workshops, etc., in addition to teaching them their specific duties. For
example, we have implemented Statistical Process Control which emphasizes
measuring thequality of a process and involving every person in the
organization in looking for ways to do things better.
